Soho, Filthy London!!! - The Look of Love - All is Joy, 75 Dean Street, Soho - Friday 21 March 7pm - late

£15.00
sold out

Join us in the heart of seedy, filthy, shocking Soho … celebrating Soho in film and music…

Martin Green DJing in the bar before the film and DJ For Mankind (Pikes Ibizia, Athens of The North) after the film - come see the film and then have a dance or sway from side to side …

The Look of Love
Dir. Michael Winterbottom
UK, 2013
1hr 41mins

What better film than Paul Raymond biopic The Look of Love to start our monthly residency in the old Warner Brothers Screening room (with 100 seats, sofas and a bar), right in the heart of Soho. It’s the fictionalised story of part of Paul Raymond’s life …

All is Joy is born out of the ashes of Warner Bros De Lane Lea, taking over the historic post sound studio and turning it into the newest underground venue. Hosting independent cinema, music and art, All is Joy is bringing the grassroots back to Soho. With an inclusive members dive bar, cinema and studios.

From director Michael Winterbottom (24 Hour Party People, Greed) comes the sexy, funny and outrageously true story of Paul Raymond (Steve Coogan), the controversial entrepreneur and property baron who established the Raymond Revue Bar in the 50’s and went on to become Britain’s richest man by the early 90’s. The Look of Love is a real-life tale which focuses on Raymond’s relationships with the three most important women in his life: his wife Jean (Anna Friel), his lover Fiona (Tamsin Egerton) and his daughter Debbie (Imogen Poots).

Russ Forman (DJ For Mankind) will be DJing after the film.
